ROBINSON - The family of the late Kay Robinson wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. We thank especially Father Gerard McAleer, who gave such attentive pastoral care and support to Kay and us over the years, and in her final days, and who along with Father Peter O’Neill, celebrated Kay’s Funeral Mass in such a beautiful, fitting and dignified manner. The Mass was greatly enhanced by the superb and touching music provided by Malachi Cush, supported by Rory Madden, John O’Neill & Clare McCrystal, and we thank all those who took part in the Mass including the readers and Eucharistic Ministers and the Principal, Staff and Pupils of Loreto Grammar School Omagh for the thoughtful and much appreciated Guard of Honour. Thank you also to Father Breslin and Father McCallion for their pastoral care. We have been overwhelmed by the remarkable kindness and support received from wonderful extended family, friends and neighbours during the final days of Kay’s illness and her wake and funeral. To all those who visited our home, attended the wake and funeral and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time we offer our heartfelt thanks. Special mention must be made of our close family, Kay’s sister and brother Marie and Brendan, together with John and Bridget, and families, for their longstanding love, support and assistance including over the years of Kay’s illness. Also Edward Toner and Celine Donnelly for the immeasurable assistance and support given to us in facilitating Kay’s return from Hospital, and over the days that followed, and for their longstanding support and friendship to Kay and us. We are appreciative of the kindness of so many, it is not possible to name all, but in particular wish to mention Oonagh Stewart, Brenda Nugent, Maureen Clarke, Edel Quinn, Mary Holland, Una Canavan and Mairead McDonald for their support and assistance. We also thank the wider Toner, Nugent, Quinn, Daly and Murphy families for all they have done recently and their friendship to Kay over the years. And to Barney McNally for his longstanding friendship. We thank all those who provided food during the wake, and Castlecaulfield Presbyterian Church for offering their parking facilities to those attending the wake and for providing seating for the house, and Rev Mark Dodds for attending the house. To all those who sent flowers, cards, letters and messages of condolence we are truly grateful. We wish to offer a special word of thanks to Dr McKay, Dr Vernon and the Staff of Ardmore Medical Practice and to District Nurses Ethna Quinn, Karla McCann and the District Nursing Team, we will be forever grateful for your care and support, not only in Kay’s final weeks, but over the past number of years which afforded us the privilege as a family of being able to continue caring for Kay at home throughout the duration of her illness. Thank you also to the Twilight Nursing Team, Marie Curie and all of the Nurses who attended Kay in her final days at home, and to Denver Devlin of Torrent Pharmacy, thank you for all your assistance during that time also, and to the Staff of Dolan’s Pharmacy for your very kind assistance over the years. We also extend thanks to the Doctors and Nursing Staff at Craigavon Area Hospital for the care they provided to Kay in recent weeks. Thank you to Paudge Quinn Funeral Director for the professional manner, and the thoughtfulness, sympathy and dignity demonstrated in helping us get through the days of the wake and funeral, and to Paudge, Carmel, Kerrie and the staff of Quinn’s Corner for their excellent service and food provided after the funeral. Thank you also to Bridget Donaghy and Teresa Glackin for the beautiful flower arrangements for the grave and in the Church, and to those who prepared Kay’s grave.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere thanks and grateful appreciation to all.
