    GIBSON Harry Samuel

GIBSON Harry Samuel 23 January 1993 – 22 September 2018, Aged 25 years. As we, Harry’s mum Susan, dad Mervyn, twin sister Charlotte, girlfriend Alison along with the Gibson, Stevenson and Allen families remember him on his birthday, we wish to thank most sincerely everyone for their kindness, thoughtfulness, prayers and sympathy following the very sad and sudden passing of our dearest Harry. We will be forever grateful to the very many people who helped and supported us at this most difficult time in our lives and on an on-going basis since. We, first and foremost, especially thank our wonderful neighbours, Noel and Irene Barton who came to our immediate assistance and to whom we will always owe an enormous depth of gratitude. We also thank the paramedics, PSNI, CSI, the duty doctor and undertakers, the Coroner’s Office and Dr Kelly Maguire from Carrickmore Health Centre. Words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks to these amazing individuals and teams who carried out their duties with professionalism, respect and compassion. We also thank the local and regional press for the respect shown to us at this most distressing time and for their accurate and sensitive reporting of Harry’s accident. Our special thanks must also go to all the amazing ladies and gentlemen – our family members, friends and neighbours who quickly arrived with us and worked tirelessly both inside and outside the home and on the farm, making preparations, providing refreshments, organising car parking and lighting and looking after Harry’s livestock. We also thank everyone who visited us, provided food, brought flowers and sent us the very many cards, letters and messages of sympathy and support – we really appreciate and treasure all of them. We wish to thank our wonderful work colleagues from the local school and farming communities for their immediate and on-going support and understanding including the Principals, Mrs Ruth Elkin of Omagh High School and Mrs Janice Allen of Fivemiletown College, their Senior Leadership Teams, Governors, staff, pupils and parents, Messrs Seamus and Michael O’Kane and their families, the staff and customers of Omagh Auction Mart and the wider livestock market communities from across Ireland, North and South and further afield. Our sincere gratitude must go to Rev Norman Smyth, Minister of Sixmilecross Presbyterian Church for his immediate pastoral support and for officiating at the Service of Thanksgiving for Harry’s life. We also thank Canon Robert Clarke, Rector of Edenderry and Clanabogan Parish Churches for taking part in the service and for his on-going pastoral support. We are also deeply indebted to Miss Ruth Gibson for her wonderful playing of the organ. We thank the Clerk of Session, elders, committee members and congregation of Sixmilecross Presbyterian Church. These ladies and gentlemen supported us greatly by facilitating the service, preparing the church and the halls, marshalling the traffic and car parking, providing shuttle transport and organising the seating and catering for the huge number of mourners in attendance. Our sincerest thanks must also go to Woodvale Construction Company Ltd for providing mini buses, to Cloughfin LOL 1277, Sixmilecross Free Presbyterian Church and Sixmilecross Parish Church for providing additional car parking spaces and to the local residents and businesses of Sixmilecross who also facilitated car parking and showed us great respect as the cortege made its way through the village. Our gratitude is also expressed to the PSNI for traffic control at the numerous road junctions on the route from the home to the church. To everyone who travelled from far and near to attend Harry’s Service of Thanksgiving, we extend our gratitude for their sympathy and support and thank them most sincerely for their time and patience as we endeavoured to meet and speak with everyone prior to the service. We extend our thanks to Mr James Speers, President of the YFCU and the members of Seskinore YFC who provided a guard of honour for Harry. We also thank all of the gentlemen - Harry’s family, friends and neighbours who acted as pallbearers as well as those who prepared Harry’s final resting place and Mrs Judith Kempston from Floral Temptations, Omagh who arranged the beautiful floral wreath on behalf of the family. A very special word of thanks and appreciation must go to John, Keith and Heather (J H Anderson & Sons, Funeral Directors, Beragh)
